Swati & Sunaina Gold’s 2024-26 collection takes forward the robust exchange of decorative styles in historical textiles between India and France, expressing them in textiles from Varanasi which the brand has been involved in revisiting since its inception in 2015.

Diaphanous tissues, refined tanchois, dramatic rangkaats and heavy gyaser brocades take centre stage here, dramatised with bold and expressive patterns which are a blend of the two cultures. Hand weaving techniques like kadhuwa, jamdani, rangkaat and dampach, which are also part of Varanasi’s traditions, are pushed to new levels of excellence in a graphic language rarely seen before.
